Dr. Gerald Mattingly (Johnson University) and Dr. James Pace (Elon University) are Coordinators of the KRP. Dr. John Wineland, the director of the Virtual Karak Resources Project (VKRP), also serves as Assistant Coordinator of KRP.
Faculty members from several Appalachian College Association (ACA) colleges are involved in the project as well as faculty from the University of Tennessee. Numerous articles have been published, and many conference reports and papers, as well as informal presentations, have been made by KRP members since 1995.
